Description
White plate with scalloped edge, "ring" base, and modded design around the center. Plum-colored edge with gold metallic. Transfer image of the Episcopal Church and the lettering: "EPISCOPAL CHURCH, LITCHFIELD, CONN." Bottom of plate reads: "MADE IN GERMANY/GRANNISS & ELMORE/ LITCHFIELD, CONN."
Comment
Based on date, image likely depicts St. Michael's Episcopal Church (1851-1919). Granniss & Elmore was one of the town's largest general stores, operated by Westen G. Granniss and George S. Elmore.
