Description
Doll with bisque head, glass eyes that move. Body is made of papier mache with joined arms and legs. Arsm are joined at elbows and wrists. Legs are jointed at hips and knees. Joints are wood painted flesh color. Removable wig at top of head. Stamped on small of back "EXCELSIOR/DRP No. 70685/GERMANY"

Doll and clothing was owned by donor's sister. They were given to the sister in the 1930s by the previous owner Maude McElroy of Ardsley-on-Hudson, NY. The donor speculates that the doll and trunk were possibly originally owned by Maude's mother
