Purses

Purse - the top is made of brown silk, pleated with the opening at the top. At each fold line around the opening is sewn an iron ring through which runs a drawstring of brown silk which forms the handle. The bottom half of the purse is made of crewel work, flame stitch pattern in shapdes of green, brown and yellow. There are small cut steel beads sewn along the pattern. Dividing the brown silk section from the crewel work is a cord of wool thread in the same shades of green, brown and yellow that are twisted together. The interior of the purse is lined with a brocade. A small pompom hangs from bottom center of bag.
