Description
A - White handkerchief linen doll's dress (12" long) knee length, cap sleeves, high neck with yoke of checkered woven linen from which the dress is shirred. Single shirred ruffle at hem with insert band of val. Lace with which neck, yoke sleeves and hem are edged. B - Handkerchief linen doll's slip, trimmed at neck, armsholes and hem with val. Lace C - Doll's chemise of handkerchief linen, trimmed at neck, armholes and hem with val. Lace E - White machine knit doll's socks - ankle length with blue band at top (currently on doll itself 1980-23-1)

Doll and clothing was owned by donor's sister. They were given to the sister in the 1930s by the previous owner Maude McElroy of Ardsley-on-Hudson, NY. The donor speculates that the doll and trunk were possibly originally owned by Maude's mother
