Description
Large silhouette of man facing left cut out of white paper, pasted on black cotton twill cloth. Parts of two watermarks on white paper. From subject's mouth, in pencil, the words "Forget me not forget me not." Original accession states that this "probably is Aaron Burr." Comparing this silhouette with the one engraved portrait of Burr, I do not think the silhouette is Burr. Jagged forelock, high collared coat, 2 tiny ends of cravat.
