Woodcut of Sheldon Tavern showing predominately the south side of the house. Done in dark blue paint, voids are in white. "H.J." in block letters impressed into blue paint in bottom left hand corner. Written in pencil underneath image "Dr. Sheldon House/Litchfield, Conn" and "Hervert S. Jones"
Comment
Herbert Jones was a Litchfield local who was very involved in historic preservation. He lived in Sheldon Tavern at one time. The woodcut was bought at a yard sale in Waterford, VA in 1993
