Description
Nameplate for product sold by the Flynn & Doyle carriage company of Bantam, Litchfield, Connecticut. Rectangular metal nameplate with rounded ends, each end having a small screw or nail hole. Engraved on nameplate in cursive script is "Sold by Flynn & Doyle, Bantam, Conn." Flynn & Doyle produced carriages, sleighs, and wagons between 1876 and 1910. The Flynn & Doyle sleigh in the museum collection bears a similar nameplate, this one with squared ends and without the "sold by" text.
