Watercolor portrait miniature in wooden frame. Portrait shows a young woman with long hair in profile from the bust up. Sitter is wearing a blue jacket with gold buttons, and white blouse.

This miniature was owned by the Fisher family who lived in the Sheldon Tavern in Litchfield, CT.
Comment
The portrait miniature is of Aurelia Safford Crosette Fisher (1831-1908). She was the wife of Samuel Sparks Fisher. The portrait was modeled after a photograph taken in 1862.
