Description
Deep, round plate with gold bands, and a band with a gold border and red leaf and scroll. Gold star medallion at the center of the plate. Asian inspired design. This is the wedding tea set of Anna Pierce Brace, (Mrs. Charles Loring, married May 6, 1818). Wedgwood #714, "Bittersweet." It was inherited from Mrs. Pennypacher's mother, Mrs. Ruth Loring Whitman; and by her from Mary Hopkins Loring; and by her from Anna Pierce Brace Loring.
