Description
Royal blue banner with yellow lettering at top, "HAPPY ANNIVERSARY LITCHFIELD." Underneath is white lettering, "A Special Place/for 300 Years" on either side of Litchfield's 300th Anniversary logo (dark blue circle with yellow text, "LITCHFIELD/1719-2019/CONNECTICUT" and art rendering of Congregational Church, also in yellow). At bottom is white lettering, "For events and information, go to: townoflitchfield.org/This banner authorized by the Town of Litchfield 300th Committee." Pockets sewn at top and bottom. Four metal grommets at top, one at bottom.
Provenance
Banner was hung above the entrance to the Litchfield County Courthouse building on West Street from June to October of 2019 to mark the town's 300th Anniversary.
