Description
Dark navy heavy wool men's jacket. Spread collar, center-front zipper. Round orange, blue, and white embroidered patch with lettering, "GULF." Orange script embroidery on center-back, "Geo. J. Switzer Co." Tan cotton pile lining. Loop at center-back with printed label, "50." Two flap pockets on front.
Provenance
Worn by donor while working at the Switzer Service Station/Gas Station, 1962-1979. The station was located at 199 West Street and was built in 1947 after the previous building burned down. As of time of donation, the site housed a Citgo station.
