Description
Early 20th-century clockwork locomotive made by Märklin. Black locomotive with four red wheels and red and gold detailing. The engine has a smoke stack, sand box, and steam box. The conductor's compartment is open and has one lever, although the end of the lever appears to be broken, as well as a hookup for train cars. Stamped with Märklin's "MC" shield logo on the front. Square clockwork gear extends from left. Engine also has a hookup and two buffers at the front.
Provenance
Used and displayed in Sheldon Tavern. Donor believes they were played with in the attic, and belonged to Robert Lewis Fisher (1898-1977).
