Description
A - Large female doll with bisque ceramic head and shoulders. Face painted with blue eyes, red cheeks and lips, hair painted black. Body stuffed with linen form. Arms sewn on separately at shoulder with fingers created by sewn seam lines. Wide hips. Torso has wooden stays under linen to hold body upright. Bottom half of legs sewn on at knees. Long tubular shaped feet. B - Doll's dress - pink cotton, repeating print design in white and red, wide neckline, short ruffled sleeves, waistband, long skirt, pocket on one side, hook and eye at back C - Handkerchief - doll size, white cotton hemmed on all four sides, found inside pocket of 1913-24-0 B D - Drawers - white cotton, cutwork embroidery with scalloped edge at bottom of each leg, drawstring waist band, fabric slightly discolored, tear between legs. E - white cotton petticoat, drawstring waist, seam down back with small tear, discolored. F - Petticoat - white cotton, waistband with button on back, button hole torn, 3 pieces of fabric seamed together to make skirt, wide hem, dirty, holes throughout. G - Petticoat - polished linen, off white color, waistband, no closure, cutwork embroidery - repeating design of large round flower at bottom, scalloped edge, several large holes, dirty H - Pair of white cotton socks, discolored, one has several holes at top I - Pair of green felt shoes, silk ribbon ties, poor condition, torn, pieces of fabric missing
