Woven shawl; plain red center; large woven border - paisley design in grey blue, dark green, pink, dark orange, yellow, black, and red; fringe on two sides of all aove mentioned colors; square linen label sewn into one corner, written in ink "No. 10/Miss H. Colgate"

Letter which accompanied shawl upon donation: "113 Madison Avenue/Mrs Greenwood presents her compliments to Miss Colgate/and requests an inspection and trial of the Dressmaking/and Tailoring establishments which she has opened at the/above" On back "H.C. French Camels Hair Shawl 1891"
