Description
United States Army Eisenhower style field jacket, World War II era. Wool, olive drab short military jacket with two patch style pockets with flaps at breast. Waist band with button and snap epaulettes, button cuffs and plastic buttons. Two small belts at sides with metal buckles and two interior pockets. The jacket shows evidence of previously having patch insignia on both shoulders which has been removed. Patch on right wrist of six gold bars, two brass pins of leaves. Label outside right interior pocket reads,"Regulation Army Officers Jacket" and label inside right interior pocket reads, "Jacket, Field, Wool Serge/O.D. Officers/Size 38 Long/Code No. 404/Pattern Date November 1944/Dated December 29, 1944/Purchase Order 9384/Spec No. PQD 472/Stock No. 55-J-386-70/Phila. Q.M. Depot".
