Description
Wooden shovel, probably made from maple, carved entirely from one piece of wood. Closed U-shaped handle with long rounded shaft and rounded scoop. The wood has darkened. Very attractively shaped. Chisel marks from hollowing the scoop are still visible.
Comment
This object is very sculptural in its clean lines and general simplicity.
