Description
A: Fan - Fan with ivory stretchers that are carved of leaf and floral design. Fan is satin with cotton backing and paper inserted. Stretchers are joined at base with metal and mother of pearl. B: Bag - Gray velvet bag with molded metal clasp for closing. Bag is lined with gray satin at the opening only. Label on bag, printed "Depose/H.S./Marque Deposee" with picture of a goat. Four inch silk thread handle.
Comment
From the estate of Mrs. John Mayher, the donor's mother. Mr. Mayer was president of the Litchfield Historical Society for many years.
