Description
Hand-crank table top sewing machine made of metal. Paw foot design. Sewing machine painted black with red floral decoration and gold stenciling. Machine has a wooden cover with paper cards with flowers on them pasted to outside.
Comment
Oral tradition states that this was the first sewing machine used in Goshen, CT. It was owned by Moses Lyman around 1856.
