Description
G.A.R. souvenir medal with box. Banner with printing: "19 BOSTON 04" under crossed flags with eagle perched above. Banner linked to bar with G.A.R. in red, white and blue letters, linked to a Maltese cross with laurel wreath and scenes of Boston on each wing. inscription around center with shield of Massachusetts on silver disk in center: "38th NATIONAL ENCAMPMENT GAR." Reverse has five military insignia and official GAR seal on the back of silvered disk with inscription around it: "OFFICIAL SOUVENIR."
