Bust portrait of old man in maroon background. Bald with blue eyes. Facing right. Black coat and white high collar shirt, white bow tie. Frame--leaf, diagonal lines and concave oval in center. Tiny loop at top.

Companion miniature of Mrs. Asa Chapman (Mary Perry), 1966-02-2. On back of miniature, written in pencil, "Miniature of Judge Asa Chapman/Painted at Saratoga N.Y./in the summer of 1824."
