Pewter communion platter used by Northfield Congregational Church from 1795 until about 1867 when a new memorial communion service was presented to the church by a relative of the Rev. Elijah W. Tucker, who died Aug. 6, 1866 ae. 56. The platter was kept in the family of Deacon John Catlin until 1935 when James P. Catlin of New Haven restored them to the ownership of the church
