Description
The handle of the stamp is turned fruitwood and the seat that fits over the end is silver and engraved with a seascape. On the left is a high rock on which is perched a bird with a rope in its beak. The rope extends across the water and over a sailing ship is a bow knot. The other end of the rope is in the beak of another bird which is flying to the right. A motto is engraved around the edge "Le plus loid le plus sebee" which translates to "The father away the (meaning unknown)"
