Comment
This teapot is part of a five piece tea service given to Julius Deming Perkins by Lucretia Deming on the occasion of his marriage in 1868. Date of piece, along with engravings and family tradition indicate that this tea service was likely owned by Julius Deming during his life, and was passed down in the family. Estate inventories in the archives of the Litchfield Historical Society indicate that Julius Deming owned various pieces of silver, including teapots, and a possible multi-piece tea service at the time of his death.
