A: Bodice - white silk; long sleeves with purple ruffled trim at cuff (two rows); purple ruffle at collar; 10 purple buttons with corresponding button holes down front; lined with cotton B: Flounce - purple silk flounce; belted to attach around the waist; large bow on back; ruffled edge throughout; lined with course loosely woven linen C: Skirt - large full skirt purple; gathered at back; white silk, bottom 1/3 of skirt purple; vertical strip of purple silk and purple silk ruffle down front on each side, edged with black lace; lined with glazed linen
