Description
Beaded bag with three bands of design. Top band, 1" wide, geometric pattern in rust, green, yellow, and white. Central band, 3 1/8" w. floral design of roses and smaller blue flowers, off-white backgroun. Bottom band, 1 1/8" w. left side two small houses. On right side, larger house with tower in background.
Comment
Mabel Strong attended the Litchfield Female Academy in 1797. She sent all nine of her children to the school. She made this bag and 1949-17-2 (beaded bag) in the 1830s.
