Comment
F.L. Thoms owned an antique shop in Litchfield for several decades in the middle of the 20th century. The antique shop first occupied the 18th-century apothecary shop on the north side of the green next to the Timothy Collins house. It later moved to the barn behind Thoms's West Street home, replacing a restaurant that he had opened. The same location later housed the antiques business of Thomas McBride, who purchased the home and barn in the 1960s (see trade sign, 2010-228-1).
