Description
Painted canvas mural/stage curtain with central image painted in rectangle depicting a gandola driver in the canals of Venice. Small rectangular and sqaure panels surround the scene are of advertisments of various local businesses of the 1940's and 50's.
Comment
Used as a stage curtain for the Italian-American Club on Rte. 202, now the American Legion building. Spoke with member of Italian-America Club, did not know specifics of curtain but remembered entertainers like dance bands and accordian players on the stage at the club building.
