Description
Pillar and scroll clock. Face of clock has white paint, gilt and gesso squiggle scroll work at corners and on face steel hands with diamond cut out. Two winder holes on face, elgomise reverse painting on glass on bottom of door of clock. Painting of two houses, white with red roofs. Border of gilr and red roses. Paper label on interior of clock "S.S. Smith Litchfield/Improved clocks, made and sold by WADSWORTH, LOUNSBURY & TURNER, LITCHFIELD, CONN" Three brass finials. Scrolled pediment on top. Small slender feet with scrolled skirt around base of shelf clock. Clock donated with its pendulum and key.
