Description
Victory medal of Franco-Prussian War, 1870-1871. Smooth rimmed bronze medal with stepped edges, loop at top. Obverse side has center image of crown over initial "W", legend "DEM SIEGREICHEN/HEERE" Around outside is printed "GOTT WAR MIT UNS IHM SET DIE THRE" On back side laurel wreathed Maltese Cross with rays in background, "1870-1871" in center.
