Description
Glazed earthenware dish used as toy or play teaware. Off-white ceramic with blue transfer-printed decoration of floral motifs with Asian-inspired landscape, buildings, and birds. Floral border on rim with scalloped edge. Marked on bottom with small, four-petal flower.
Provenance
Belonged to Margaret Sargent Fisher, wife of Samuel H. Fisher, who grew up in New Haven in the 1870s-1880s. Later displayed in Babbitt home.
