Wide brim straw hat. Sewn around circumference of crown are a coloful array of synthetic flowers - made of linen and velvet. All colors and variety of flower. Deep reddish/brown ribbon around interior rim of crown with label "Graham Smith/F.M."

Mrs. Liggett was an avid gardner and a member of the Litchfield Garden Club. It is likely she wore this hat to Garden Club events.
