Description
A sketch on a tracing paper grid outline of who is thought to be Pope John XXIII. The face on the subject is outlined minimally, and the subject’s cloak is drawn lightly and slightly detailed, making the paper smudged. The date written as “Oct 6 ’62” is written in red pen on the top right corner There is some red pencil on his clothing for highlights. This drawing and 2026-25-15 were likely drawn as practice for the Pope depiction in his National Shrine mosaic.
