Piece of tin cut in shape of liberty cap and curved. Japanned and painted with yellow borders. American eagle spread with seven stars above it. Eagle has red shield on breast and stars have red stars over yellow ones. Unit number worn off "Compy 17th Regt" Except for Regimental number, identical to ca1898-02-0
