Description
Lid decorated with gold bands and a band with a gold border and red leaf and scroll. Marked "4" on the bottom. Asian inspired design. This is the wedding tea set of Anna Pierce Brace, (Mrs. Charles Loring, married May 6, 1818). Wedgwood #714, "Bittersweet." It was inherited from Mrs. Pennypacher's mother, Mrs. Ruth Loring Whitman; and by her from Mary Hopkins Loring; and by her from Anna Pierce Brace Loring.
