Description
Commemorative glass produced for Litchfield's 300th Anniversary. Pint glass, tapering towards bottom. On one side, printed in maroon, is the 300th Anniversary logo: image of the First Congregational Church steeple with text, "Litchfield/1719/2019/Connecticut" set inside thin circle. On reverse side is the logo for the Village Wine Cellar, printed in maroon: image of a wine barrel with script text above, "Carpie's" and text below "EST. 1982" set to left of text "VILLAGE/WINE/CELLAR," all above text "LITCHFIELD, CT."
Provenance
Donor was owner of the Village Wine Cellar on West Street (just after Russell Street) at time of donation. The store produced the pint glasses as commemorative items.
