Description
27 mother of pearl game counters; varies shapes and sizes. Six round pieces - 1/18" diameter 2 oval pieces - 1 1/2" long x 7/8" wide 17 elonged oval pieces - 2" long x 5/8" wide 2 rectangular pieces - 1 3/4" long x 1/2" wide Each counter has monogrammed "S.B.T." on one side with raised dot border on each side; reverse side very find basketweave or intersecting line design; two rectangular ones stylistically different - non monogram and have abstract floral design on each side with basketweave border

Game counters were used to play the card game loo; these were brought back from the far east by Capt. Ingram ca. 1800
