Description
Watercolor and ink drawing of an urn with florals and birds. Bowl-shaped urn with narrow neck, two c-scroll handles in gold, and a small, round base; urn completed in shades of blue. A white flower sits at the center of the urn, with green branches extended outward; red buds or berries on some of the branches. Two white and grey birds are perched on the branches, facing inward. Written in ink at the center of the urn, "Litchfield/April 7th/ 1810." Paper sits under a reverse painted eglomise with black and gold border. Framed in a giltwood frame with beaded decoration. Frame and eglomise appear period to the watercolor. Bare wood on frame reverse; the work is held in the frame by a wood backing, with paper lining.
