Description
Man's fedora hat in original hat box. A - black felt hat with black grosgrain ribbon trim around edge of brim and wide grosgrain ribbon around body of hat. Flat box on one side. Interior lined with white silk. Maker's label printed on silk "Cavanagh/(large shield with two lions facing each other)/Cavanagh Hats/New York" Leather band around rim of hat. Printed in gold on one side "F.R. Tripler & Co./Madison Ave at 46 Street/New York" B - Black octogonal shaped hat box. Lid (c) which removes. Black plastic straps with gold metal buckles which secures lid to box. "Cavanagh Hats" printed on two ends of box and on top of lid. Interior of box shaped to hold hat in place. Hat placed in box upside down.
