Description
Doll - white kid leather body. Head and hands are bisque. Face of doll is painted and doll has brown eyes and blond hair braided down back. The doll wears a Shaker woven straw bonnet over a net cap. The dress is a gray Shaker made cotton, plain bodice, full skirt pleated around waist. A grey silk cape trimmed with two bands of lace is pinned down front and at waist on front and back. Her underclothing consists of long drawers, a short petticoat, and a long petticoat.

These dolls were made in Europe and then bought by the Shakers to be dressed and sold to visitors.
