Description
A: Bodice - blue silk; round collar; buttoned down front with 13 round silk buttons with white flowers; a ruffle, begun with fringe and finished with white binding runs around neck and halfway down front; silk bow with white binding at middle of front; ruffle as above as shoulder cuff; long sleeves becoming very wide towards the bottom with same bow halfway down and geometric design of binding and fringe until edge; 1/2 gathered band of white satin lines underside; back has large triple layered semi-circular tail; the last two layers with fringe; a bow as above becomes a forth, top layer; lined in cream colored silk with 1/2 waist tie remaining and 6 stays sewn into lining B: Skirt - blue silk; gathered beginning at sides to the back; fastens down back with one large hook & eye; very full skirt; much longer in back; across front is an intricate scalloped design of white banding and fringe; at bottom is an overruffle with three horizontal bands of white binding running around at edge; under the true skirt is edged with green binding; this section lined with white glazed cotton; rest of skirt lined with off-white net
