Description
G.A.R. medal. 5 pointed star - each point has a different emblem - crossed swords, crossed rifles, crossed cannons, horn, ship anchor; around center image "Grand Army of the Republic/1861 Veteran 1866" Image in center of two men shaking hands, woman on her knees. Back side has series of circles with various symbols in a row. American flag ribbon connected to top of star, pin at top of ribbon of eagle with wings spread holding sword in talons crossed cannons with stack of cannon balls also.
